Breakfast, Energy Brain



Kompas.com - any busy, always take time for breakfast. Moreover, if today you willtake an exam or a job that requires high concentration. Research shows studentswho regularly eat breakfast have memory and concentration better than that set outfrom home with an empty stomach.

When we sleep at night for 8-10 hours, the body will spend the reserves of glucosein the body. In the morning, decreased glucose can cause drowsiness, less cautiousand loss of concentration.


Nevertheless, the breakfast menu should not be excessive. "If breakfast is too much,all blood flow to the gastrointestinal tract and there was little flow to the brain so thatwe even sleepy," said dr.Inge Permadhi, Sp.GK, a nutritionist from the Department of Nutritional Sciences Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia.

Breakfast menu which can be categorized as "fuel" the brain is rich in fiber,carbohydrates and vitamins.
